The U.S. House of Representatives has passed S. 1356, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2016. Congressman Bill Flores (R-Texas) issued the following statement regarding its passage:
“The House has once again worked to responsibly fund America’s national security. We are providing our military men and women with the certainty, resources and authority needed to fight and defeat the threats that exist in the world today. President Obama played political games with our previous bipartisan defense bill, but today’s vote brought together a strong, bipartisan veto proof majority. Our troops give their all to preserve our freedom. It is incumbent on us to give them the tools they need to succeed. Now more than ever, we must continue to strengthen our national defense and to support our military men and women to whom America owes so much.”
Congressman Bill Flores represents the 17th District of Texas and is an entrepreneur, former energy executive, Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chairman of the Republican Study Committee (RSC) and member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
