Republican Study Committee Chairman Bill Flores (R-Texas) released the following statement in response to Speaker John Boehner’s (R-OH) impending resignation:

“Speaker Boehner is a good man, who has always sought to represent his district and his country well. We owe him our thanks for his 25 years of dedicated, selfless service to the House of Representatives. Under his Speakership we have banned earmarks, passed balanced budgets, and enacted critical spending caps. As we move forward, our party must unify and remain committed to meet the pressing economic, national security, fiscal and other significant challenges that face hard-working American families.”

Congressman Bill Flores represents the 17th District of Texas and is an entrepreneur, former energy executive, Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chairman of the Republican Study Committee (RSC)  and member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
