The U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill to provide funding to Israel for their Iron Dome defense system. Following passage of the bill, Congressman Bill Flores (R-Texas) issued the following statement:
“Israel is our staunchest ally in the Middle East and I remain committed to their protection. I am pleased that both the House and the Senate have voted to provide Israel with the resources needed to support its Iron Dome to counter short-range rocket threats. I believe that a strong and secure Israel is directly tied to our national security. It is imperative that we continue to work to preserve our longstanding alliance with Israel and to uphold the democratic rights of all people.”
