Texas Freshman Keeps Promise to Implement New Standards of Transparency, Openness and Accountability

U.S. Congressman Bill Flores (R-TX) has announced his schedule to hold a series of town hall meetings the last week of February to discuss issues affecting Central Texans and all Americans. Flores will update constituents on the accomplishments of the new Congress during his initial weeks in Washington and hear their concerns firsthand on issues ranging from job creation to the budget and deficit spending. Flores released the following statement regarding his first town halls in Texas’ 17th Congressional District:

“With the new Congress comes a new era of transparency, openness and accountability. I am honored and humbled to serve the 17th Congressional District of Texas, and I pledge to remain committed to common-sense policies that will positively impact Central Texans and all Americans. It is important to me to be able to spend as much time as possible back home with the people I work for so that I may listen to my constituents, become better informed on their priorities and ensure that they are heard in Washington. That is why I am holding a series of town hall meetings during the last week of February. This is part of the new Republican Majority’s plan to reform Congress and restore trust so that we can put power back where it belongs: in the hands of the people.”

Please see below for the dates, times and locations of Congressman Flores’ upcoming town hall meetings. The information is also listed on Flores’ official website, Facebook and Twitter pages.  Local law enforcement has been notified to ensure the safety of all attendees.
